An actor for more than forty years, I began working as a child actor and toured Europe in Peter Brook's production of "Titus Andronicus", starring Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh.
I also played Frankie Abbott in the '70s sitcoms "Please, Sir!" and "Fenn Street Gang"
I have written about them in my outrageous memoirs "Flashback" published by Authorsonline and available from Amazon. "He recounts those years with great humour..." Western Mail
"Imagine yourself travelling - as a member of the company - with a train-load of top stars to the great cities of Europe." Daily Express
"If you want to get away from the plethora of ghost-written autobiographies from reality stars and sports-folk with nothing to say and no really poignant memories to call upon, then "Flashback" is the antidote you've been looking for."
Cult TV
"Barry tells so many theatre anecdotes with a glint in the eye that it's quite hard to put the book down."

Synopsis:
New York City in the prohibition era, and Bll Sutton's wife thinks he earns an honest crust as a rent collector. Instead, he leads an extraordinary double-life as 'Willie the Actor', a notorious bank robber.
Based on a true story, the novel's protagonist is a gentle gunman who never fires a shot. But it was believed he was jinxed and almost everyone he works with meets with a violent end.
